“In order to live on the land, one must learn to both notice and unlock its potential - to read and interpret the land for its signposts - to develop, what I term landscape literacy.”

Lisa Fenton

Writing

Lisa’s explorations, enquiries, experiences and academic insights, combined with her practical knowledge and expertise in bushcraft & survival skills, reaches a wide audience through her writing for both academic and popular publications.

Her ideas about the value and importance of bushcraft in the modern world and its connection with traditional and indigenous knowledges; historically, culturally, practically and philosophically, combined with her own personal stories and experiences as a mother, bushcraft expert, researcher, and academic, has provided a rich vein from which she draws her written inspiration.
