Lisa’s explorations, enquiries, experiences and academic insights, combined with her practical knowledge and expertise in bushcraft & survival skills, reaches a wide audience through her writing for both academic and popular publications.

Lisa Fenton’s writing brings together lived practice, cultural history, and critical insight to explore how traditional skills can shape contemporary life. Her work spans academic research, creative non-fiction, and contributions to both specialist and mainstream publications.

Lisa integrates personal experience, cultural critique, and historical perspective to show how ancient skills can help us reconnect with the natural world. She continues to publish essays, chapters, and articles that extend her thinking about bushcraft, enskillment, and human–nature relationships.
